I did not know what a Shelta hat even was, until my dermatologist recommended I purchase one, and I can tell you this is the best sun hat I have ever owned. I spend a lot of time outside gardening, and I used to get sunburned through my so called SPF hat. Now I can spend all day outside without worry and without sunburn, if you are on the fence about getting one, I would suggest you get one and give it a try I went through a lot of the name brands and none hold a candle to Shelta, a great hat that is wear all day comfortable.

Working as a Land Surveyor and got fried by the sun on a construction site. After looking around at different companies, I settled on spending the money for a SeaHawk V2 & Neck Shield. Thouroughly pleased with this product. Has helped to significantly cut down the sunburn after long days, comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and the front flap being more rigid to help stay out of eye-line have been my biggest pro's. if you plan on wearing the Seahawk for extended periods of time(4-5 hours) and measure per Shelta's guidelines, maybe give yourself an extra 1/4" of measurement, however i also may have measured too close.
I am beyond pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone needing a hat for sun protection!

Great Hat. Still have my Olive Camo Seahawk, but use that mostly for working around the house. This Sand Dune hat will be used for traveling.

This is by far the best hat I've ever purchased. Wore it all day on the boat and had no issues with the brim flopping like other hats I own. This is going to replace them all!!!

Who doesn’t love a boonie hat with the perfect shape and fit? I’ll probably get a few more colors as my go to retirement head gear.
